"His reaction to the story that we may well be prosecuting folks, I'm happy to talk about that... He is very angry, as you've heard him say publicly. You know the notion that this administration is going to come into office and they're going to prosecute the brave men and women who carried out this program that kept America safe the bastards who illegally turned America into a nation that tortures." Liz Cheney, worried that her father, Satan, is going to prison Link
Liz, don't worry.
The Democrats wouldn't have the balls to put Dillinger on trial.

Conason: The losers who gave us Sarah Palin: http://www.salon.com/opinion/conason/2009/07/10/palin/

Yesterday's antics included:
Jason Mattera, a spokesman for Young America's Foundation, said that if Sonia Sotomayor is confirmed, she might shank Justice Antonin Scalia. After all, she's one of them hot-tempered Puerto Ricans and she comes from a bad neighborhood. That's the way those people settle things back in the barrio.
And the continuing saga of the Clampett Palin family just gets wackier all the time. After Levi Johnston told the media that Sarah Palin cut and run so she could make more money, the Joads Palins went wild. Pat Buchanan has a suggestion for the First Dude — or whatever his title is now that his wife's a Quitter.
His advice: Todd Palin should drown Levi Johnston. In Pat Buchanan's own words: "Well, first, with regard to Levi, I think First Dude up there in Alaska, Todd Palin, ought to take Levi down to the creek and hold his head underwater until the thrashing stops."
And speaking of "putting lipstick on a pig" — Ralph Reed, one of the most notorious of the Biblehumpers from the 1990s, is BAAACK. But don't worry, he's changed. He's all wrapped up in a brand new package.
That stodgy old hate-spewing Christian Coalition has now morphed into the hip new Faith and Freedom Coalition. Think of it as Christian Coalition 2.0.
The Grand Inquisitor Himself says: "This is not going to be your daddy's Christian Coalition. It has to be younger, hipper, less strident, more inclusive and it has to harness the 21st century that will enable us to win in the future."
And then he said — be sure you're sitting down for this — "Even though I've been doing other things, this is kind of like Steve Jobs returning to Apple."
Um, Ralphie? That's a lot of crap. But I guess after all the selling out you did with Jack Abramoff, you know with the Casinos and the lying and the federal investigations, that makes you just like Steve Jobs.

Elsewhere, the full-bore racism of the younger Wingnuts has been on full display and the older Wingnuts are advocating murdering a child, but there is nothing remarkable in that. So move along.
I would pay good money to hear Sonia Sotomayor say, "Senator Sessions, I think it's ironic to be facing these questions from a man whose judicial nomination was rejected by this very committee on the grounds that he's a huge racist."

Last night on Fox News, Karl Rove argued that the administration is justified in withholding information from Congress. "It is so dangerous to give Congress information" because they leak it, Rove argued. More: http://thinkprogress.org/2009/07/14/adam-smith-interview-1/

Hmmm, that brave army dude who is seeking a temporary restraining order under the guise of being a conscientious objector and doesn't want to go to Afghanistan is a birther who is arguing that President Obama is not a natural born citizen and, therefore, ineligible to be commander-in-chief. Cook's lawyer is Orly Taitz — dubbed The Queen Bee of Birferstan for challenging the legitimacy of Obama's presidency in California:
In the 20-page document — filed July 8 with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia — the California-based Taitz asks the court to consider granting his client's request based upon Cook's belief that Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and is therefore ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Cook further states he "would be acting in violation of international law by engaging in military actions outside the United States under this President's command. … simultaneously subjecting himself to possible prosecution as a war criminal by the faithful execution of these duties."
When not filing suit against his commander-in-chief, Cook has also made time to post at the conservative website FreeRepublic.

Why does Commie Sarah Palin love 'Cap & Trade' so much?
Oh, surprise, Sarah Palin was for Cap and Trade before she was against it, on Monday, in the neocon pamphlet the Washington Post. This is just one more reason why she will become President of Earth in 2028.
Fun fact: A majority of Americans think Sarah Palin is stepping down as governor for political reasons, according to a new national poll, with a majority of Republicans now saying that they do not believe that Palin would be an effective president.
Only 33 percent of Republicans questioned in a CBS News survey released Monday night say that Palin would have the ability to serve effectively as president.

IOKIYAR, the never ending series
The Clenis got a blowjob and almost destroyed the Republic, but this is totally different:
Republican Sen. John Ensign said Monday that not only does he have no intention of resigning in light of his affair and his parents' payout to the woman's family, he plans to seek reelection when his term is up in 2012.
What Maru thinks of Liz Cheney here.

Remember a few months ago when Seymour Hersh said Cheney ran a secret assassination ring outside of Congress? Well he's still sticking to his story.
....
"Go read George Bush's January 2003 State of the Union speech," he said. "He's talking and he says we've captured and detained 3,000 Al Qaeda members and other terrorists—crazy numbers—and said some of them will never bother us any more. And Congress cheers."

......Does he think his novelty and intellect alone will restore America's credibility in the world after two terms of Bush? Does he think his daughters will charm everyone into respecting us again? Like the majority of U.S. citizens, those around the world are looking to us for change and inspiration.
As we saw in Africa this weekend, millions of people welcomed the message of hope and dedication he brought them. He told them they must prosecute their war criminals and end governmental corruption, yet Mr. Obama is unwilling to do that back home. Let me tell you, even the most downtrodden, hopeless, and desperate people understand hypocrisy when they see it. If you're inclined to lecture others about cleaning their houses, you might want to get out the broom yourself.
