Obama proposal to exempt employers from paying Social Security would hurt workers and families.

BAGHDAD (AFP) – Iraqi authorities have asked for a US congressman to leave the country after he called for Baghdad to repay part of the money spent by Washington since the 2003 invasion, a spokesman said on Saturday.
Gee, Dana, maybe they could just pay back the money you helped borrow to fight that criminal war direct to China in the interest of efficiency.

Note to Rohrabacher: Dude, you borrowed the money and wasted it and it's gone and that's it.

That dumb sonofabitch embarrasses this country every time he he opens his mouth and lets slip the dogs of stoopid.

The fact that this has even been shown in TV suggests something is changing in Pakistan. The Guardian:
Pakistan's security forces are facing criticism after paramilitary troops were caught on camera apparently shooting dead a teenager at point-blank range.

The footage, broadcast repeatedly on local television, is likely to further undermine faith in the country's powerful security establishment, which is already facing allegations it helped conceal Osama bin Laden.

The video, captured by a cameraman from Pakistan's Awaz television channel, shows a youth, identified as Sarfaraz Shah, arguing with paramilitary rangers in Karachi. The 18-year-old appears to plead for mercy before being shot at close quarters. He then falls to the ground and screams in pain as blood pools beneath his legs.
Can we please stop sending them money?

Worse than melt down

The nuclear fuel in three of the reactors at the Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear plant has melted through the base of the pressure vessels and is pooling in the outer containment vessels, according to a report by the Japanese government.

The findings of the report, which has been given to the International Atomic Energy Agency, were revealed by the Yomiuri newspaper, which described a "melt-through" as being "far worse than a core meltdown" and "the worst possibility in a nuclear accident."

In New Jersey, they're proposing that a parent of two earning more than $103 per week would be ineligible for Medicaid.

Meanwhile, tax payers foot the bill for his fat ass to have free health care.

And here's another pro-life family values Republican:

Today in overt race-baiting

Courtesy of Fox:

During the opening of Fox Business' Follow the Money on Friday, Eric Bolling teased a segment about the White House hosting the president of Gabon by saying, "Guess who's coming to dinner? A dictator. Mr. Obama shares a laugh with one of Africa's kleptocrats. It's not first time he's had a hoodlum in the hizzouse."

I counted three bits of racial code in those few sentences, which isn't bad. The film reference was nicely done, although the Fox audience probably think he is referring to Bernie Mac.

Anyone who thought it was a victory that Glenn Beck was leaving is sadly deluded. Glenn Beck was shown the door because he outlived his usefulness, and the wingnut bench is very, very deep. Bolling and others can be counted on to step up to the plate and churn out the bile until they, too, become too toxic or go just a little bit too far over whatever line Ailes has, and they'll be replaced with some other asshole just as bad.

Weiner Death Watch

Pelosi, Steve Israel, and DWS have now joined the list of people calling on Weiner to resign, and the revelation that authorities talked to a 17 year old that he had texted all about seals the deal for Weiner. He's a dead man walking, and will be out by Tuesday.

*** Update ***

And now he is off to rehab. This is just sad.

Evil

So the cancer that is David Koch had to be excised from the NIH board before the NIH could classify formaldehyde, which the Koch's produce, as a carcinogen. "Large manufacturers and chemical producers have lobbied ferociously to stop the National Institutes of Health from classifying formaldehyde as a carcinogen. A wide body of research has linked the chemical to cancer, but industrial polluters have stymied regulators from action. ... Last year, the New Yorker's Jane Mayer reported that billionaire David Koch, whose company Georgia Pacfic (a subsidiary of Koch Industries) is one of the country's top producers of formaldehyde, was appointed to the NIH cancer board at a time when the NIH delayed action on the chemical. The news was met with protests from environmental groups. Faced with mounting pressure from Greenpeace and the scientific community, Koch offered an early resignation from the board in October. ... Yesterday, the NIH finally handed down a report officially classifying formaldehyde as a carcinogen."

An investigation by ProPublica found that Sens. David Vitter (R-LA hookers/diapers) and James Inhofe (R-OK climate change denier and idiot) had used their power to add years of delay to the report. The piece linked Vitter to lobbying from Koch's Georgia Pacific company, which has plywood plants in Louisiana.

An apology doesn't cut it for me. He should lose his job and career.
