The war on women continues apace It's incomprehensible to me that the Violence Against Women Act is suddenly controversial, but in this tea-party-moron dominated House of Representatives, it is. Fortunately, Democrats hold the Senate and they are standing up for us and telling the House that they won't be allowing the misogynistic tea folk to weaken it by watering it down and limiting it's protections to certain groups like Native Americans and trans-gendered individuals. Senate Democrats, led by Patty Murray of Washington refusing to water it down caused Chuck Grassley to object to Senate passage by Unanimous Consent and drag it out a while longer.
