Jim Hoft, who has reclaimed his status as the stupidest man on the internet after a brief hiatus, has determined that the continued existence of winter disproves global warming. Northern India has been hit with a cold spell that has killed 175 people, which kind of sucks for them, but more importantly proves that there is no such thing as human-caused climate change. Hoft happily marshalled the 175 dead foreigners as avatars of climate denialism one day before the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced that 2012 was the hottest year on record in the contiguous United States. READ MORE »

Hey South Carolina Messican restaurant Taco Cid, what's got staffers in heelarious uniforms featuring Messicans getting trapped in boxes like animals by aid of a taco lure, are you sorry that everyone in the country except other racists thinks you are balls-out racist? Oh, you're not? That is so weird, we thought you would say you were sorry "if" you offended anyone. But let's see what you do have to say for yourselves, because we are sure it is swell and logical and compassionate and well-thought-out, we are sure of it. READ MORE »

Grifterville

Tis the season to disclose that you're a monumental right wing grifter.

Dick Morris' lawyers have reportedly confirmed that the conservative commentator's website received money in a fundraising scheme involving his mailing list, the conservative outlet Newsmax, and his organization Super PAC for America. Morris is also reportedly distancing himself from the super PAC despite previously stating that he "formed" the group and it's "my organization." [...]

According to Federal Elections Commission data, Morris' Super PAC for America paid Newsmax Media roughly $1.7 million for "fundraising" in October and November. Dick Morris' email list is operated by Newsmax. In the month before the 2012 election, Morris sent at least 21 emails to his mailing list featuring fundraising pitches that were "paid for by Super PAC for America," meaning that a significant portion of the super PAC's money likely went to renting Morris' own email list. Super PAC for America also "paid for" at least 25 emails to Newsmax.com's main email list during the same period.

Morris used his political action committee to funnel money to himself through his website.

I can't help but laugh because, while he was doing this, Morris was making predictions that Mitt Romney would win in a "landslide." And normally I would have sympathy for those who donated to a super PAC not knowing that they were really just donating to head of the organization, but in this case I don't.

How many sad people donated to Dick Morris thinking they were somehow contributing to the Romney landslide?

Fooling conservatives into giving you money is good business. Meanwhile, they can complain about the government raising their taxes by a few percentage points to pay for things like healthcare and roads.
